"I Love Your Laugh."

A simple compliment. But it made my day today. When you have been married as long as Terry and I have, you tend to get into a comfortable routine and sometimes take each other for granted. We tell each other that we look nice when we dress up, or compliment some work or project the other one has done, but we tend to take each other's innate qualities for granted after all these years.

This morning we were watching the birds in the feeder outside the window and bantering back and forth, just chatting and laughing. All of a sudden, Terry turned to me and said, "I love your laugh." Coming from a man who often compares me to a cackling hen, this simple compliment was high praise and something I don't think I ever realized he felt. I have basked in the glow of that compliment all day long. Because it has made me feel so good, I resolve to try to remember to mention to Terry the things I appreciate about him more often, too. We can all use a day brightener now and then! Life is good...

Don't you know everyone loves your laugh? Especially Daddy--that's why he makes fun of it so much. He's like a 1st grader, picking on the things he likes the most so the world won't think he likes them. When you laugh you sound just like Grandma.

You do have a nice laugh. I however have picked up this cackle that sounds eerily like my mother's... [and just in case she's reading this... Hi Mom! I love your laugh! :)]

Hi Nancy,
I'm so behind in visiting everyone..
Isn't it wonderful how sweet words can just brighten one's whole day?
I'd love to live nearby and hear your laugh in person!
Alissa's comment that you laugh "like Grandma" is something people often say about my laugh (that I laugh like my Mom) Makes me feel closer to her when I hear that as she had a wonderful laugh!
Thank you so much for your prayers for Grandpa...
((hugs))
